Description and Notes:
This pantograph comes with the original cardboard box and French instruction sheet. It is made of ebony (or perhaps ebonized hard wood) and German silver, the point of the tracer is made of ivory. It was made in France by a manufacturer with initials S. L. and a three candle candelabra trade mark, the manufacturing date is not clear but likely to be in the early twentieth century judged by the material used.
Compare to the Stanley's improved pantagraph this one is much more lightweight and portable, but the drawing area is more restricted due to its smaller dimensions. The fulcrum point of this device is designed to be screwed on the drawing board, it also equipped with a caster on the joint opposite to the pencil point to balance the weight of the body.
