The spring bows of this set are made of steel with delicately turned ivory handle, the length of each is about four inches. The instruments are not signed but they are very similar to the ones found in a set of the Andrew Alpern Collection (Article 98, page 117), which was attributed to of English or French origin and was dated to the second half of the 19th century.
